Stitch 'n Ride To Stitches West 2009!

Thank you for Riding!

Thank you to all the knitters and crocheters who rode the 2009 Stitch 'n Ride special train! We hope you had a great time onboard this year's Stitch 'n Ride train and our staff enjoyed meeting you and seeing all the fabulous projects you were working on. With over 470 crafters climbing aboard, this year's ten-car train was was the longest single train we have ever run in passenger service on the Capitol Corridor.

Chemo Cap Drive and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

For the second year, we've teamed up with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to promote knitting for a good cause by hosting a chemo cap drive to provide warm hats for patients currently undergoing chemotherapy. We are proud to say that this year's Stitch 'n Ride train donated 693 chemo caps to the Leukemia & Lymphoma society when we arrived at the Santa Clara station! For pictures of the chemo cap hand-off, as well as pictures of the events onboard, stay tuned-we'll upload those soon. Thank you for your generosity to this wonderful cause! More Details
